ISLAMABAD: Chairman Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Dr Shahzad Arshad on Tuesday said that there was need to focus on industrial and textile sectors for strengthening economy of the country on sustainable basis.
“Industrial sector needs special attention and sufficient water and energy to produce results,” he stated while talking to a news channel.
He urged the rich people to pay taxes so that economic progress for the benefit of the common man could be achieved in a proper manner.
He said that there is dire need to enhance tax base to achieve prosperity in the country.
Vice President of FPCCI Fahmida Jamali said that steps would be taken to provide opportunity to the women for promoting export sector.
She said that there was serious need to utilize the potential of the women segment of the society to further strengthen the economy.
Fahmida said that the focus should be given to encourage women entrepreneurs so that desired results of prosperity could be achieved in an appropriate manner.
She urged the women to come forward and play their active role in improving the economy of the country.
