MULTAN: Customs officials of Multan region have seized non-duty paid foreign origin digital cameras at Multan International Airport, while the accused passenger fled away.
As per details, customs official intercepted a passenger travelling from Abu Dhabi to Multan through a private airline on suspicion and checked his luggage. During the search, customs recovered non-duty paid cameras on which customs asked to produce legal documents but he could not do so.
While, Nadeem Abbas resident of Karor Pakka, accused in smuggling of cameras run away deceitfully without paying the leviable duty/taxes from the airport.
Customs has made seizure report of the confiscated items and further investigation is underway.
