LONDON: U.S. stocks ended slightly higher Wednesday after the Federal Reserve signaled that interest rates could increase more slowly than officials had expected.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 31.26 points, or 0.2%, to 17935.74, capping a back-and-forth session for stocks.
The S&P 500 index rose 4.15 points, or 0.2%, to 2100.44, and the Nasdaq Composite Index gained 9.33 points, or 0.2%, to 5064.88.
U.S. Treasury prices rallied after the Fed statement. The dollar fell against the euro and the yen.
