Customs Faisalabad seizes smuggled cloth

FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation has seized foreign origin cloth during a crackdown near Faisalabad Railway Station.

According to details, Customs authorities received a credible information regarding smuggling of the foreign origin cloth. Soon after receiving the information, the authorities constituted a raiding party under the supervision of Senior Intelligence Officer Tahir Iqbal, along with Mansoor Khan and Muhammad Sikander (sepoys). The raiding party conducted a successful raid on the Parcel Godown of Faisalabad Railway Station and seized foreign origin cloth of 650 kilogram whose market value is Rs 5,63400 and also involving duty and taxes of Rs 3,20,970/-.
