KARACHI: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has geared up to start investigation against former customs officials because of their alleged involvement in corrupt practices.
Well-informed sources within the Customs House told this scribe that NAB authorities are currently investigating against former collector Mian Azhar Majeed, former additional collector Asher Azeem and former PACC member Iqbal Muneeb. Sources further revealed that NAB authorities started investigations against the said officials after getting approval from NAB Chairman Qamaruz Zaman Chaudhry.
Sources said that if these officials were found involved in corruption during inquiry, strict action would be taken against them.
