Rozi Khan Burki inaugurates new water-pump at Customs House

LAHORE: Central Region Chief Collector of Customs Rozi Khan Burki has inaugurated new water pump at the Customs House Lahore.

Collector of Customs Mukarram Jah Ansari, collector appeals Asif Jah, statistical officer M Afzal, ASO superintendent Mumtaz Ajmal Mian and others including inspectors and sepoys were present on the occasion.

The new water pump was installed at the Customs House due to severe water shortage, sources told Customs Today, adding that, earlier the Customs House have to use Tax House water-pump to cater its water requirements which was insufficient.

It is pertinent to mention hare that besides the new water pump installation, MCC Lahore preventive collector of customs Mukkaram Jah Ansari has taken a number measures to add beauty to the existing building of the Customs House.

Soon after the collector assumed office as collector of customs MCC Lahore preventive, he got engraved centre point of the main gate with bold words of “Customs” and renovated four walls around the main building of Customs House that earlier were giving a deserted look.

Recently, the collector of customs took personnel interest and managed to plough an empty space alongside the main building, installing various colorful flowers.

On the other hand, all the plants inside the four walls of the Customs House have also been covered with the green shade net to protect the plants from the scorching heat-waves of the sun.

Collector of Customs Mukarram Jah Ansari told Customs Today that such small measures can add to the beauty of things splendidly and above all Customs is our organization and we must take care of its properties and assets.
