This estimation would mean an increase of 7% in trade between Mexico and Peru this year compared to 2014.
When Peru and Mexico aren’t facing off in friendly matches in national soccer stadiums, they are exchanging large volumes of goods, including minerals, agricultural products, and auto parts, among others.
The head of ProMexico in Peru, Daniela Robles affirmed that by the end of 2015 trade between Peru and Mexico could increase over 7% to US$ 3 billion, reports Andina news agency.
Peru’s shipments of minerals, energy, hydro-biological products and agricultural products to Mexico are increasing. Likewise, Mexico’s shipments to Peru such as minerals, construction materials and capital goods are rising in volume.
“We are complementary countries, which offer quality products. That’s the reason why there is a huge potential for the commercial exchange to continue growing, Robles told Andina.
With Mexico’s participation, Peru hosted the Pacific Alliance’s 3rd Macro Business Roundtable in the Ica region on Wednesday, further demonstrating the two countries’ growing relations.
