Customs intelligence foils bid to smuggle cloth, ball bearings

LAHORE: Customs Intelligence and Investigation Lahore Directorate on Thursday foiled bid to smuggle millions of rupees ball bearings and foreign cloth at Faizpur Interchange, arresting 5 accused.

Sources said that the customs inspector intercepted a passenger bus at the Faizpur interchange loaded with ball bearings and cloth.

They said that the seized cloth and ball bearings were being smuggled in Lahore markets by accused Javaid, resident of Peshawar.

They said that the authorities, after registering FIR, have arrested five accused and started further investigation.
