Excise Kasur seals 41 properties, recovers Rs 0.6 million  token tax from police

LAHORE: The Punjab Excise and Taxation Department in Kasur region has started strict crackdown against defaulters of property tax and token tax.

According to Excise and Taxation Officer (ETO) Kasur Malik Muhammad Aslam, the district police of Kasur has paid an amount of Rs 600,000 as token tax which is an extraordinary achievement of the District Excise. Kasur Police has paid this amount of tax on their 71 vehicles, he added. Many other government departments have already paid token tax on vehicles.

During crackdown against defaulters of token tax and property tax Excise teams of Kasur district also sealed 41 properties in different areas of the district.  Properties were sealed in Pattoki, Chunian, Raja Jhang,‪ Khudian Khas and Kasur. Sealed properties include car show rooms, dairy farm, knitting machine agency and many shops as well.

Qasur excise department has Recovered more than Rs 1 million from defaulters.

According to ETO Malik Muhammad Aslam Excise district department has collected more than 95 percent of the target for the fiscal year of 2014-15.
