TEHRAN: Iran has allocated around $1.2 billion towards expanding gas supplies to 20,000 industrial units with no access to natural gas, said a report.
Last year 3.7 billion litres of liquid fuel was delivered to these units daily, senior oil ministry official said.
In the past four months, gas supply services have been extended to 250,000 households, he added.
