Deputy Managing Director: Iran to export gas oil to Armenia,Tajikistan

TEHRAN: The Deputy Managing Director of National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC) said that Iran is to export gas oil to new markets in Tajikistan and Armenia.

Growth in gas production in the country has pushed down consumption of liquid fuel in power plants and big industries and consequently a high volume of different types of liquid fuel exist in the country which can be exported to other countries.

Gas oil, liquefied gas, kerosene and fuel oil are among oil products, whose export to neighboring countries has started and their export is expected t0 increase in coming months.

Mansour Riahi said that given oversupply of gas oil, liquefied gas, kerosene and fuel oil in the country, the NIOPDC is to export all types of oil products.

Exporting oil products by land, such as fuel oil, LPG and kerosene is on the agenda of NIOPDC, he said.

He also spoke of gas oil export to Afghanistan, Iraq and Nakhichevan and said that executive operations for export of the products to new markets in Tajikistan and Armenia are underway in current year.

NIOPDC intends to increase its activities on border border marketplaces in order to control fuel smuggling.
