Lahore Customs Preventive unearths contraband items export on fake documents

LAHORE: Lahore Customs Preventive has unearthed modus apprendi through which fake Goods Declarations and contraband goods have been exported worth billion of rupees.

According to customs  sources on the information of Collector  of Customs Mukarram Jah  Ansari customs officials under took inquiry on export of contraband goods from Export Shed  Airfreight Unit. The inquiry revealed the contraband goods were being exported under the  grab of export of Rubber Shoes Soles.

The sources said that the goods were exported to Manchester, UK by Turkish Airline.

The sources said that customs authorities have registered a case against Muhammad Ali driver, officials of the export shed and others.

It was also told that value of the exported contraband goods have not been determined yet and in this regard further inquiries are under way.
