PM discusses loadshedding, K-Electric with cabinet

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, chairing 16th Cabinet Committee meeting on energy, discussed the prevailing power crisis in Karachi and issues of K-Electric.

Secretary for Water and Power Younus Dagha briefed the meeting on electricity load management during the holy month of Ramazan.

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Federal Minister for Information Pervaiz Rasheed, Federal Minister for Petroleum Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique, Minister of State for Petroleum Jam Kamal Khan and Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali, Advisor to the premier on National Security Sartaj Aziz, Special Assistant to the premier Tariq Fatemi; Special Assistant to the premier Musaddiq Malik, Secretary to the premier Javed Aslam, Secretary Petroleum Arshad Mirza, Secretary for the Economic Affairs Division Saleem Sethi, Secretary Railways Parveen Agha and Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) Chairman Zafar Mahmood as well as other senior federal and provincial government officials were also present in the meeting.
