ANF Court awards 5-year jail term to drug smuggler

ISLAMABAD: The Special Court of Anti-Narcotics has sentenced a drug smuggler Muhammad Naseer, to five years imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on him.

According to details, ANF team had arrested Muhammad Naseer and recovered 4 kilograms of heroin and charas from his possession near Attock. His accomplice Bahadur Khan was on bail and now wanted by ANF.

During the investigations, proofs and witnesses were enough to prove his crime before the court. After the trial, the court sentenced Muhammad Naseer to five years imprisonment and also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on him. In case of failure in payment of fine, he may face six months more jail imprisonment as well. The ANF presented a complete challan before the Court after the recovery of four kilograms of heroin from their possession.
