Finance Minister lauds efforts of officials in preparing budget 2015-16

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar here on Thursday chaired a meeting of the senior officials of the Ministry of Finance who were entrusted with the task of preparing the budget 2015-16.

In a statement, the minister acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the officials and said their hard work and dedication helped in presenting a budget that took due care of all segments of the society.

He said that despite difficulties and paucity of resources an effort was made to facilitate all sectors of the economy to the maximum extent possible.

The Minister said the government has a resolve of promoting tax culture in the country and helping out the most deserving and needy. The budget for the fiscal year 2015-16 truly reflects this resolve, the Minister added. He said the officers concerned should keep up this spirit of work in future as well.

Secretary Finance, Dr Waqar Masood, Additional Secretary to Finance Minister, Tariq Mahmood Pasha and other senior officials were present in the meeting.
