HYDERABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Hyderabad has impounds a non-duty paid vehicle worth Rs 1 million involving duty/taxes amounting to Rs 1.4 million.
The ASO team on the instruction of Model Customs Collectorate Hyderabad Collector Dr Ahmed Mujtaba Memon, under the supervision Additional collector Omer Sahfique intercepted a Toyota Corolla Axio model 2005 near Auto Behan workshop near Giddu Chowk in Hyderabad.
The raiding party asked the owner of the vehicle to produce legal documents regarding the legal possession of the vehicle but he could not produce any document on which ASO impounded the vehicle following the customs laws.
Officials told that vehicle was being used also without registration plate.
