Customs Appraisement contesting cases of over Rs 220m in Customs Court

LAHORE: Cases of contraband goods of over Rs 220 million seized by Directorate of Customs Investigation and Intelligence Appraisement Lahore are in Customs Court, Lahore for adjudication.

According to the details, a case of 600 rolls of non-PVC coaxial cable worth Rs 6.6 million involving duty/taxes amounting to Rs 3.88 million is under trial before special judge of Customs Court, Lahore.

Besides, various cases of electronics goods, auto parts, TP goods worth Rs 65 million involving duty/taxes amounting to Rs 45 million are also in a Customs Court of Lahore for settlement.

Similarly, a case of BOPP file materialized micron capacitor grade worth Rs 160.49 million involving duty and taxes amounting to Rs 5 89 million is also waiting for decision.

The cases were registered during the last year 2014.
