AMSTERDAM: GroupM, the media investment management arm of advertising and media giant WPP (LSE: WPP.L – news) , has bought Dutch business Greenhouse Group. The acquired company provides digital media and marketing services through its four operating companies: online market agencies Blue Mango Interactive and Fresh Fruit Digital, social media unit We Are Blossom, and SEO and content marketing outfit Source Republic.
Greenhouse employs more than 150 people in the Netherlands and generated €10.1m in revenues in 2014.
WPP did not say what it paid for the company, but said the deal would “further enhance GroupM’s data-driven digital marketing capabilities”.
Digital revenues at WPP totalled $6.9bn in 2014, representing 36% of group turnover. The group wants 40-45% of revenue to come from digital within the next five years.
