Customs Intelligence seizes container loaded with smuggled steel sheet worth more than Rs 4m

LAHORE: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation’s anti-smuggling unit has impounded a container loaded with steel sheet worth millions of rupees.

Sources said that Customs Intelligence intercepted the container numbering TLZ/270 coming from Quetta near Multan Road.

They said that the actual value of the container is yet to be determined, adding that the estimated value of items is more than Rs 4 million

Meanwhile, sources within Customs Intelligence said that the container was being assessed and the details would be available following the completion of the assessment work.

They added that a contravention report would be made following the valuation of the container.
