LAHORE: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) foiled two smuggling bids and captured fine quality of heroin weighing 2,239 gram in to two raids here.
As per details, the ANF Lahore Airport Team intercepted a passenger identified as Azhar Iqbal, a resident of Gujrat at Allama Iqbal International Airport and recovered 2.89 kgs of heroin concealed in a handbag.
In another attempt, the force intercepted a parcel at DHL Office and upon search recovered 150-gm heroin hidden in a Flask Thermos.
The parcel was booked by one Khaqan Arsal Raja, a resident of Lahore and was destined for Riaz Hussain, a resident of the United Kingdom.
The ANF registered two separate cases and launched further investigation.
