NAB finalises reference against Imdadullah, others in Rs 11.7m scam

PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has finalised a reference against the University of Peshawar Chemical Sciences Department director after completing the investigation process.

Well-informed sources told Customs Today that Chemical Sciences Department Director Imadaullah and his accomplices, including junior clerk Muhammad Ali and Jalaluddin advocate, are under custody of NAB for allegedly embezzling the department’s funds.

The accused were arrested by NAB on charges of inflicting millions of rupees worth of loss to the national exchequer.

The Ehtesab Court (Accountability Court) in Peshawar had granted physical remand of the accused for interrogation. After the end of the remand period and interrogation, the bureau will submit a reference in the court for the recovery of Rs 11.7 million from the accused.
