DUBLIN: Two men and a woman, all aged in their 40s, have been arrested after 72,000 ecstasy tablets were seized in the greater Dublin area.
Officers from Revenue’s Customs Service, assisted by the Garda Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, seized the tablets with an approximate street value of €720,000 here the other day.
The drugs were discovered by officers during searches of two houses.
Those arrested are being held at Store Street and Kevin Street Garda Stations.
Separately, four Lithuanian nationals are being questioned after 9.5kg of herbal cannabis and cannabis resin worth €184,000 was seized at Rosslare Europort.
Revenue’s drug detector dogs, Defor (L) and Ralph, assisted officers during the search of a Lithuanian registered van, which had arrived by ferry from Cherbourg in France.
