Excise Kasur sets record in revenue collection: Malik Aslam

LAHORE: The Excise and Taxation Department of Kasur has achieved more than 100 percent revenue collection target for the previous fiscal year which is a new mark in the history of Kasur Excise.

Talking to Customs Today, Kasur Excise District Officer Malik Muhammad Aslam disclosed that Kasur Excise had recovered Rs 9 million professional tax, which is 13 percent more than the set target. He said that the entertainment tax collected by Kasur office was also more than 500 percent of the set target for the year of 2014-15.

On the other hand, from July 2014 to date, the Excise teams impounded 6,515 token tax defaulters and un-registered vehicles. The motor vehicle tax collected by the department during this period stood at Rs 28 million, which was 102 percent of the set target.

During the same period, Kasur Excise sealed 8,527 properties in different areas of the district and recovered Rs 105 million as property tax, which was 98 percent of the set target for the district office, Malik Muhammad Aslam concluded as saying.

Excise and Taxation Departemnt of Kasur under the supervision of ETO Malik Muhammad Aslam has achieved 94 percent target in the sum of excise duty for the previous fiscal year.
