FIA arrests two involved in electricity theft

SIALKOT: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has raided a main electronics’ shop on Railway Road and arrested its owners Sheikh Qaisar and Shaikh Faisal on the charge of stealing electricity.

Some employees of the Qaisar Electronics also attacked the raiding FIA team and beat up badly FIA sub-inspector Khizar Hayyat and ASI Khalid Mehmood there. Later, local police was called in, which saved FIA officials from the accused.

Sub-inspector Khizar Hayyat told that the accused Sheikh Qaisar and his son Sheikh Faisal were stealing 14 kilowatts electricity load direct from nearby main electricity cable there.

He added that FIA has arrested the accused and sent them behind the bars after registering a case against them. Further investigations were under way, in this regard.
