SIALKOT: Customs Intelligence and Anti-Smuggling Squad Sialkot has seized a big quantity of mobile phones, different costly clothes and other valuables from a dubious vehicle of a cargo company, during a special checking at River Chenab Bridge here.
According to the senior officials, values of the seized items is Rs.10 million which were being smuggled from here to Afghanistan, Iran, India and China to local markets in Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala and Lahore.
According to the senior officials, the Customs Department has registered a case against the accused and sent him behind the bars. Further investigations were under way, in this regard.
