ASO seizes smuggled art silk cloth worth Rs 550,000 ‏

MULTAN: Anti-Smuggling Organization has seized foreign cloth in an action. As per details, Anti-Smuggling staff has recovered the Indian origin smuggled cloth from Multan City.

Smuggled art silk cloth was recovered during the raid at the local trader warehouse located in the Khooni Burj. The smuggled cloth was recovered on the credible information. The quantity of the recovered cloth was 600 yard in length.

Anti-Smuggling Organization team includes Ghulam Asghar, Fayaz Ahmad and Aslam Qureshi conducted the raid. Owner failed to provide any import documents upon asking of ASO staff.

The total value of the smuggled cloth was almost Rs 550, 000. The customs duty of the smuggled cloth during operation was Rs 224, 000. An advance information report has been lodged against the seized goods . Further investigations were under process.
