Fire erupts in Customs Lab of Dryport Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: On the mid-night of July 4, and 5, 2015, fire broke-out in Custom’s Laboratory at Dryport Faisalabad.

The fire quickly spread and engulfed the adjacent compound encompassing the bank guarantee section and a store used for warehousing export sample’s.

The local rescue authorities rushed to the spot of fire and tried to control the fire. With their prompt help, fire was controlled otherwise several offices including PRAL, account’s office and state warehouse would have caught fire resulting in huge damage.

The cause of fire is being ascertained. An internal probe into the matter with regard to assessing the exact cause and the losses suffered as a result of fire has been ordered. A complain is also being lodged with police for registering of FIR of the incident till filing of this report.
