FPCCI President Mian Idrees ha expressed concern on issuance of such SRO, stating that all these units are already submitting monthly sales tax returns to the FBR authorities. He said that asking them to provide production is totally unjustified and unacceptable to them.

He urged the government to withdraw SRO 494/2015 immediately and refund the amount to tax payers. He reminded that Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar in his budget speech promised to refund the amount before August 31, 2015.

He said that due to delay in refunds exporters, and manufacturers are facing great hardships while their export consignments are also being affected.
