Excise Rawalpindi enhances tax rate on goods, passengers transport ‏

ISLAMABAD: Rawalpindi Excise and Taxation has increased income tax rate on goods and passengers transport vehicles.

Meanwhile, the department also increased income tax rate on the private vehicles for the non-filers of tax returns while decreased the income tax rate for the filers of tax returns.

According to details the Rawalpindi Excise and Taxation has increased income tax rate from Rs 2 per kg to Rs 2.5 per kg for the filer of tax returns and Rs 4 per kg for the non-filer of tax on goods vehicles included truck, wagon, busses, loading Suzuki and passengers Suzuki.  While income tax rate were increased from Rs 60 for the passengers vehicles heaving capacity of 4 to 9 seats to Rs 100 for the non-filers and decreased to Rs 50 for filers of tax returns.

On the other hand income tax rate for vehicles up to 1000 cc will remain same but the income tax rate has increased for non-filers to Rs 4000 and decreased to Rs 1500 for filers of tax on vehicles of 1001 to 1199 CC.

While the income tax rate has increased for non-filers to Rs 5000 and decreased to Rs 1750 for filers of tax on vehicles of 1200 to 1299 CC.  And the income tax rate has increased for non-filers to Rs 7500 and decreased to Rs2500 for filers of tax on vehicals of 1300 to 1499 cc, the income tax rate has increased for non-filers to Rs 12000 and decreased to Rs 3750 for filers of tax on vehicles of 1500 to 1599 CC.  While the income tax rate has increased for non-filers to Rs 15000 and decreased to Rs 4500 for filers of tax on vehicles of 1600 to 1999 CC.

And the income tax rate has increased for non-filers to Rs 30,000 and decreased to Rs 10,000 for filers of tax on vehicles from 2000 CC and onward.
