KARACHI: The Pakistan Customs, Karachi will hold an auction of general cargo and vehicles at the Pakistan International Cargo Terminal (East Wharf), Karachi Port Trust under schedule No 01/2015 on July 29, 2015, it is learnt.
The auction of the Afghan Transit Trade cargo, included dump trucks, Toyota vans, new and old Toyota corollas, old and new radial tyres with alloy-rims, fridges, lamps, razers, printing materials, printed polyster fabric in rolls, new roller chain for motorcycles, iron rods and pipe scrap, DVDs, LCDs, speakers and amplifiers, electronic fuel pumps, thermal overload, protector switches, solar pumps and dry batteries, sources told Customs Today.
The customs auctioneer Moinuddin Chishti will supervise the auction process in the presence of customs officials.
It is mentioned here that Collector Model Customs Collectorate-MCC Appraisement-West Muhammad Saleem had emphasized on auctioning cargo twice or thrice in a month to enhance revenue generation.
