BEIJING: The Xiaomi Mi5 regular variant is followed by the Xiaomi Mi5 Plus which is reportedly the larger version of the same model. As per the leaks, the Xiaomi Mi5 will sport a 5.2 inch LCD display with 2560 x 1440 resolutions.

It will also be protected with Gorilla Glass 2.5 on top and 2.5D corners. The device will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core chipset processor and will also boast better battery capacity. If these leaks turn out to be true, we might be looking at 3,000 mAh battery with quick charging support.

As for the cameras, it will feature a 16 MP back camera along with a 13 MP front camera.

Now coming towards the Xiaomi Mi5 Plus, the Plus already suggests that it will be larger than the regular variant. Reportedly, the Mi5 Plus will have a 5.7 inch display and will be a phablet.

It will also have the Quad HD resolution; however, it will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 820. Now the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 has a little bit of a heating problem, so we’re not really sure if Xiaomi wants to take this step.

The Xiaomi Mi5 Plus will also have different cameras as compared to Mi5. The phablet will feature a 23 MP rear camera laser auto-focus technology and optical image stabilization along with 12 MP front cameras.

As for the battery, larger body means more battery capacity. The Mi5 Plus will reportedly have 3,500mAh battery and would charge from 0 to 100% in only 50 minutes. Also the Mi5 will be available for purchase at CNY 2,399 ($385), as per reports.
