Swiss talks: FBR Chief, Members to get briefing today

ISLAMABAD: Two-member delegation of FBR has returned back to Pakistan after holding initial talks with respect to double taxation agreement with Switzerland.

According to FBR sources, talks remained successful with Swiss officials and there is a strong chance that a consensus would be reached over proposed amendments in the agreement earlier than expected.

FBR Chief International Tax will brief the Chairman Tariq Bajwa at 11am in the headquarters on Wednesday. Member Inland Revenue Policy and FBR Official Spokesperson Shahid Hussain Asad, Member Inland Operations Muhammad Ashraf Khan, Dr Tariq Masood, Amjad Tawana and DG BTB will also be present in the briefing. Sources said that FBR will speedily pursue the double taxation pact.

Through amendments in the exchange of information’s current article it would be possible to exchange banking related information between both the countries.
