TOKYO: Porsche was a little worried that they won’t be able to meet the target they have set for the Porsche Cayenne, but it looks they might actually make it thanks to the weak Euro.

With how unstable the economic is for some of their biggest markets, Porsche initially had doubts about whether or not they will be able to reach their target as less and fewer people were interested in getting expensive premium model.

It also did not help that more and more automakers are coming out with a premium model that comes with a much more affordable price tag putting Porsche and Porsche Cayenne at an even more awkward position.

However, with the drop of Euro, the Porsche Cayenne is also getting cheaper which helps increase the overseas profit value after all the conversion.

Of course, this is not a long term solution for them to get to where they want to be but for now, they position is not as dire as they thought they would be at the beginning of the year.

The latest Porsche Cayenne GTS was released just a few months ago. The Porsche Cayenne will be powered by a 3.6-liter twin turbo V6 engine that will be delivering about 440hp and 443lb ft of torque.

Then the engine will be mated to an eight-speed auto transmission. The Porsche Cayenne GTA will only need 4.9seconds to go from 0-60mph and has a top speed of 163mph.

Porsche will also offer the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S this year. This model will be coming in with a 4.8 liter twin-turbo V8 engine that will be delivering about 570hp and 590lb ft of torque.

The Porsche Cayenne Turbo S engine will be mated to an eight-speed transmission. The Turbo S can go from 0-60mph in 3.8seconds with a top speed of 176mph.

The Porsche Cayenne GTS will retail for $96,495 while the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S will retail for $158,295.
