KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is gearing up efforts to send notice to majority of Karachi and Lahore based artists and singers to clear their outstanding dues regarding tax.
Sources told Customs Today that there are lot of artists who are getting income in millions of rupees monthly but did not submit their tax returns. Now the authorities have decided to further tighten rope around these artists and singers.
The FBR officials are avoiding to disclose the names of these artists but soon after Eid holidays notices will be sent to their residential addresses. Sources further revealed that authorities started to collect data of these artists in January 2015 now lists are being finalized and authorities will start send notices after Eid.
