Microsoft’s Lumia 940, 940XL could be priced higher compared to Apple’s iPhone 6, Samsung Galaxy S6

NEW DELHI: It appears that Microsoft’s rumoured high-end phone models Lumia 940 and 940XL could be priced higher compared to Apple’s iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S6.

The report, which cites, trusted sources, also mentions that the Lumia 940 and 940XL will feature an iris scanner. The phones could be announced in November.

As per past rumours Microsoft is working on two high-end Lumia phones for Windows 10 codenamed ‘Cityman’ and ‘Talkman.’

Cityman or Lumia 940XL is likely to be the company’s flagship phone for Windows 10 and include a 5.7-inch QHD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, and a 20MP rear camera.

As per reports, Microsoft is planning to use a removable rear cover for access to the battery and microSD slots, despite the presence of 32GB of internal storage.

Talkman or Lumia 940 is expected to be slightly smaller than Cityman with a 5.2-inch full-HD display. Powered by a Qualcomm hexa-core processor, the phone is expected to feature 3GB of RAM, and a 20MP camera.

Both handsets will reportedly feature a triple-LED flash to support different tones for photos, alongside a 5MP front-facing camera.
