Saudi Arabia’s food, drugs authority bans poultry imports from US

RIYADH: The Saudi Food and Drug Authority said heat-processed poultry meat and egg products, and products treated in any other way that destroys the avian flu virus, are excluded from the temporary ban.

Saudi Arabia’s Food and Drug Authority has temporarily banned imports of poultry meat and egg products from Nebraska in the U.S. due to the outbreak of avian influenza in the state.

Saudi Arabia bans imports of poultry meat and egg products from the following U.S. states – Oregon, California, Washington, Idaho, Minnesota, Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Iowa – for the outbreak of a HPAI.
