WARSAW: Germany’s Hosting firm United Internet AG will buy a 100% stake in Poland’s leading hosting company Home.pl from current owners led by private equity fund V4C Eastern Europe for EUR 135 million in cash and approximately EUR 20 million in debt, United Internet said in a press statement.
The transaction had aroused significant interest among potential buyers, but the German investor proved unrivalled, the daily Puls Biznesu wrote. Home.pl currently employs some 240 persons and services 300,000 customers, the statement reads. 2015 sales are expected to reach EUR 25 million and EBITDA is expected at EUR 10 million.
United Internet plans more acquisitions and will mull the possibility of an IPO of its “Business Applications” segment in the coming months, the firm said.
