CTS Overhauls 17th CF6 engine in 2015

AMMAN: CTS Engines, a leading independent provider of jet engine maintenance services, announced today that it had completed its 100th full overhaul on a GE CF6 series engine. The engine, a CF6-80A owned by DHL and operated by Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, also represented the 17th completed CF6 engine fully overhauled by CTS to date in 2015.

“We are pleased to reach this milestone ahead of our internal expectations,” said Vesa Paukkeri, President and Chief Operating Officer of CTS Engines. “Over the past few years, CTS has gained industry recognition as a leader in CF6 engine maintenance, and shop visit growth since 2013 has validated this recognition.” With nearly 4,000 CF6-50, CF6-80A, and CF6-80C models currently in operation, CF6-powered aircraft remain the backbone of the global wide-body and medium wide-body air transportation system. CTS’s customers on the CF6 platform include cargo operators, passenger operators, aircraft lessors, and the United States Air Force.
