LAHORE: Super model Ayyan Ali reached Karachi after her release from Adiala jail Rawalpindi as her bail was approved by the Lahore High Court.
Ayyan was escorted to the federal capital soon after her release from the jail, reportedly in the vehicle of Ambreen Advocate, the daughter-in-law of Sardar Latif Khan Khosa. Ayyan did not interact with media persons present outside the jail in large numbers.
A 3-member legal team of Ayyan who was imprisoned in money smuggling case in March 2015, appeared before Banking Court Special Judge Sabir Sultan and submitted the LHC orders. The judge accepted the orders and issued the release orders for Ayyan Ali. The legal team along with an official of district administration reached Adiala Jail where they handed over the release orders to Superintendent Jail Malik Mushtaq Ahmed Awan, who set Ayyan free
Super model, singer and actress Ayan was arrested by Customs at Benzair International Airport while she was travelling for gulf state. $500,000 was recovered from her possession and she was in jail from last 4 months.
The Lahore High Court approved her bail on Tuesday as she was approached there for her bail.
She will be released from Adiala jail at 4 pm and then she traveled for Karachi.
