Customs Court hears 29 cases on Thursday

LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti Smuggling heard 29 important cases on Thursday including pre-arrest bail pleas. Now cases will be heard after Eid and courts will remain closed for 5 days.

On Thursday cases were scheduled for hearing include cases of tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics. Cases of pre arrest bail pleas were also scheduled in the Customs Court for their pre-arrest bails

Court also proceeded on statements and witnesses on four different cases on the day.Cases of Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Jhelum were scheduled for the day.

Cases of smuggling were also a part of the day’s schedule in which Court recorded the statements of the parties. In some cases Customs Court recorded witnesses statements and issued necessary directions
