COLOMBO: Indian authorities have arrested a Sri Lankan woman at the Chennai International Airport last night for attempting to smuggle gold.
Air Intelligence Unit of the Customs Department at Chennai airport has nabbed the 33-year-old Sri Lankan woman with two kilograms of gold ornaments concealed in her dress, PTI reported.
The woman has arrived from Dubai, the officials added.
The consignment of gold is valued at Rs 55 lakh, according to the airport officials.
