NSA’s senior statistician Elijah Saushimi revealed that the growth centers furniture, iron and steel, inorganic and organic chemicals, electric equipment, aircrafts and flight simulators.

Saushimi noted that the flight simulator is being used by aviation institutes in Namibia and is vital to the country’s aviation industry. The proportion of aircrafts and flight simulators in total imports rose from 0.6 percent in Q1 2014 to 5 percent in Q1 2015.

The main sources of the country’s imports are South Africa, China, Switzerland and Botswana, the figures show.
