Govt grants Rs480m for salaries of PSM employees

ISLAMABAD: The government has approved Rs480 million for one month salary of the employees of the Pakistan Steel Mills.

Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar conveyed the anticipatory approval as chairman Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet as a special case, from Madinah, Saudi Arabia. The decision has been taken on humanitarian grounds with a view to enable employees of the PSM and their families take part in Eidul fitr festivities.

It is worth mentioning here that Ministry of Finance in early July released an amount of Rs960 million to the Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM). The released sum was utilised to disburse the salaries for the months of March and April 2015, to all the employees of the enterprise.
