LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has sent a list of smuggled vehicles to the Punjab Excise and Taxation Department, those were registered illegally, for the cancellation of their registrations.
As per details, deputy collector headquarters of Pakistan Customs, FBR wrote a letter C.NO.02/ ASO-35/2015/191 to Director General of Excise and Taxation Punjab to take measure against the illegal business pertaining to the registrations of non-duty paid vehicles.
The Pakistan Customs has forwarded the details of as many as 40 vehicles that were registered unlawfully. The customs department has been asked to revoke the registration of these offender vehicles, besides sending the record including names and addresses of the owners to the Pakistan Customs, so that, legal proceeding could be initiated under the charges of smuggling.
