PHITSANULOK: The Anti-Money Laundering Office will auction off 188 motorcycles and other vehicles seized under the Anti-Money Laundering Act, Amlo secretary general Sihanart Prayoonrat said.
Pol Col Sihanart said the vehicles were seized during a recent search of the La Paloma Hotel in Muang district of Phitsanulok province by Amlo officials and soldiers from the 4th Infantry Division.
The authorities seized gambling equipment and many other articles including large safes, land title deeds and a large number of motorcycles and cars during the raid.
The seized assets were all linked to illegal gambling and subject to confiscation under the Anti-Money Laundering Act.
Amlo will sell the vehicles by auction on the 7th floor of the city hall of Phitsanulok. The vehicles include a Mazda BT50 pick-up truck, a Ford Escape SUV and 188 motorcycles.
The items to be sold can be inspected on the 5th floor of the car park building of La Paloma Hotel in Phitsanulok.
