SAN ANTONIO: The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office seized more than 12 pounds of methamphetamine during a traffic stop on the West Side.
A BCSO K9 Deputy pulled over a driver at Highway 90 W and 36th Street. The deputy said the driver was acting suspicious and gave conflicting statements when asked where he was coming from and going. The driver gave the deputy consent to search the vehicle, and the deputy’s K9 then gave an alert that narcotics were inside the vehicle.
Investigators say a full search revealed 10 bundles of methamphetamine were hidden inside the frame of the vehicle. The drugs carry a street value of approximately $500,000.
The driver, who identity is not being released at this time, was booked on unrelated traffic warrants and is now facing federal drug charges.
