BMW India re-launches its updated model of BMW X6

NEW DELHI: BMW India has re-launched its updated model of BMW X6 on Thursday in Bangalore. BMW had discontinued the X6 in 2014, but have now re-launched the second-generation of the BMW X6 for a price tag of Rs 1.15 crore (ex-showroom Delhi).

The new update of the BMW X6 comes with the xDrive40d variant with the 3-litre twin-turbo in-line six diesel engine which churns out 313HP of total power and 630Nm of maximum torque and is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, goes from 0-100km/hr in 5.8 seconds with a top speed of 240km/hr. The new BMW X6 has a fuel tank of 85 litres.

Moreover, the petrol variant of the car will be launched in the form of BMW X6M later this year. The BMW X6M will most likely come with a 4.4-litre V8 bi-turbo producing a maximum power of 560PS and a maximum torque of 750Nm.

The exterior of the BMW X6 comes with a new front and rear end, new bumpers, new kidney grille along with LED Multi-beam headlights. Moreover, the interiors of the new BMW X6 have changes with new two toned leather upholstery quality fabric. The new BMW X6 also comes with the BMW M-Sport package.

The second-gen BMW X6 grows in dimensions compared to the previous model. The BMW X6 is 34mm longer, 4mm wider and 12mm higher and has also reduced the kerb weight by 40kgs. The BMW X6 will have options of 17″, 18″ and 20″ alloy wheels with four new color options.
