ASO Faisalabad seizes pile fabric, curtain cloth

FAISALABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization ( ASO)  Faisalabad has seized foreign origin pile fabric and curtain cloth.

According to details, Collector Customs MCC Faisalabad Tauseef Ahmed Qureshi received a credible information regarding smuggling of the cloth.  After receiving the information, the Collector constituted a raiding team. The Customs team raided Rana Ishtiaq Goods Forwading Agency office which is situated at Nimwala Karkhana, Faisalabad and seized pile’s fabric and curtain cloth weight 2180 kilograms.

The market value of the seized cloth is Rs 1,91,4048/- while its CIF value is Rs 66,7,131.

The raiding party of Customs asked accused person Javaid Khan son of Mohammad Iqbal who is a resident of Peshawar, and Mohammad Amir who is a resident of People’s Colony No. 2, Faisalabad t o produce legal documents of cloths, but the failed to produce the same.

After their failure, Customs team seized the cloths, while further investigations are under process.
