Collector Adjudication upholds contravention case against CMPAK

KARACHI: Collector Adjudication-II upheld a contravention case prepared by Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation-FBR-Karachi region against M/s. CMPAK Limited for a huge evasion of duty and taxes on import of consignment of telecommunication equipment namely UPCC .

The above mentioned equipment were cleared from MCC-Appraisement (East)Karachi, through mis-declaration of PCT as 8517.6970 chargeable to 1 percent custom duty against the actual PCT 8517.6290 chargeable to 2 percent customs duty vide GD No. KAPE-HC-24004 dated 01-09-2014.
