The statement further said that the power utility has always been truthful to NEPRA. Prior to the Fact-Finding Report, Nepra Management visited KE head office where its performance was appreciated by the regulatory authority, it added.

KE’s spokesperson further added, “Whenever the Nepra officials paid their visits at the K-Electric offices, they were articulate in expressing their satisfaction with the performance of the entity. However the pressure of some unknown influence has forced the Nepra to go against their word.”

K-Electric’s press statement further reiterated, that if and when the power utility receives a show-cause notice from the Nepra then it will provide a response detailing its version.
